THE QUEEN'S HEID

Due to the success of The Knox Factor, Radio Scotland are giving listeners another chance to enjoy the prequel originally broadcast on 30th November (St. Andrews Day) 2005

In 1560. Mary, Queen of Scots returns from France to rule Scotland. Edinburgh publican and idealist Lachie Marr prepares to fully exploit the mood of change by transforming his humble tavern, 'The Queen's Heid', into the capital's hottest night-spot. Unfortunately he hasn't quite remembered the crabbit nature of the Scots.

The show will be broadcast by BBC Radio Scotland (FM 92.6-94.7) on Thursday, December 27th at 4.05 pm

The Quuen's Heid is produced and directed by Margaret Ann Docherty. It stars Shaun Scanlon (John Knox), Shonagh Price (Mary Queen of Scots), Richard Conlon (Lord James Stuart), Elaine Ennis (Madge Knox) and Tom Freeman (Tommy the Ferryman/Leach).
